Lemonade Art Studio offers personalised art classes in family homes across Klang Valley. In a familiar setting, children learn practical art skills, explore new materials and develop their own ideas.
Every child learns and creates differently. Even when children work on the same theme, we adapt the pace, guidance and learning goals to suit each child.
Every lemonade has its own recipe.
OUR APPROACH
Every child brings something different to their art.
Children learn to look closely, work with different materials, handle tools and explore colour and composition. But learning the same skills doesn't mean everyone's artwork should look alike.
Each lesson has a clear purpose, with room for children to make their own decisions. They might choose a favourite colour, reimagine a character or turn an unexpected mark into part of the picture.
Developing art skills and creative independence takes time. Rather than comparing children with one another, we give each child the space to learn and grow at their own pace.
HOW LEMONADE BEGAN
Beyond technique:
finding your own creative voice.
I went to art classes as a child. Children of different ages worked in the same room, and the teacher had limited time to spend with each of us. The teacher would show us an example, and I would copy it as closely as I could. Over the years, my drawing improved, but one question stayed with me: What do I want to draw?
Technique gives us the means to create, but curiosity gives us a reason to begin. Close observation helps us notice things we might otherwise miss; thinking about them opens up new possibilities. That's why Lemonade combines guidance with room for exploration.
We plan each lesson carefully and adapt as needed. Children learn techniques without having to reproduce the teacher's example. Their interests give us a starting point for introducing new skills, materials and ideas.
My hope is that, years from now, a child who learnt with Lemonade will still enjoy picking up a pencil and creating something simply for the pleasure of it.

Hello, I’m Qian, but you may know me better as Teacher Lemon! I originally chose the name because I wanted something cheerful, easy to remember and a little playful. It stuck—and eventually gave Lemonade Art Studio its name. My own creative journey has taken me from National Taiwan University of Arts, where I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Communication Arts, to the University of West Bohemia in the Czech Republic, where I studied Visual Communication Design. I’m now pursuing a Master of Arts in Visual Communication and Media Studies, so I’m still learning and exploring too! Along the way, I’ve worked in children’s art education, creative programmes, exhibitions and public engagement. What I’ve come to enjoy most is helping someone discover the excitement of making something of their own. In my classes, that means preparing thoughtfully, offering a little guidance when needed, and making room for children to surprise me with their ideas. That’s what I hope to share through Lemonade: a place for children to learn new skills, follow their curiosity and enjoy creating. Their work doesn’t have to look like mine—or anyone else’s. After all, every Lemonade has its own recipe.
